   Fraser Stirling - Team Leader

I am a teacher in the senior area of the school.  I have taught for several years across the school with experience both in middle and senior classes.  I have also been trained as a Reading Recovery teacher.  I am passionate about the environment and helping children identify the importance of this in our world.  I enjoy using ICT in the class because the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. It is our role to equip the children in our class with the skills to participate fully and confidently in the world in which we love.  I have high expectations of myself and this is transferred to the children as I encourage them to always strive to be their best in all they do.

Kia Ora. I am privileged to have been part of the friendly and collaborative staff at Welcome Bay School for many years now and I have enjoyed teaching at all levels of the school. I am currently working with our Year 5 and 6 students. At this level of the school, our learners are actively involved in a wide range of exciting learning opportunities and a favourite of mine would have to be the annual senior camp.

I like to see all students actively involved in their learning and I set high standards for both the students within my care and for myself. I am passionate about providing our students with a safe and welcoming environment at school, as I believe that we all learn best when we are happy. Learning is exciting, school should be fun and laughter is a main ingredient.
